I'm Natalie!

​

I'm a mum and wife based in Melbourne, Australia.

 

In recent years I've become interested in expressing myself creatively through digital illustration and handmade art.

 

In the past, I studied and worked professionally in various design roles including Graphic Design, Multilingual Desktop Publishing and Commercial Interior Design. 

​

Since I was a child, I enjoyed experimenting with various arts and crafts including, Croteching; a skill my maternal grandmother (Nonna) taught me.

 

My spare time to be creative is often limited, but when I do find time, creative projects are very healing and calming; especially when juggling a young child and chronic illness.

I'm the first one to be surprised that I'm experimenting in the field of digital illustration, as I have never envisioned it as one of my strengths, but regardless I'm going to have some fun along the way and give it a go.

My aspiration for my artistic process is to not strive for perfection or some sort of ranking in the illustration world (where I very much feel I don't belong), but to create artworks that simply succeed at communicating and capturing unique feelings in life or conversation-provoking topics.
